This retractor solves the problems of open
rhinoplasty exposure by exposing the tip and
dorsum of the nose simultaneously, enabling the
surgeon to perform the operation with no assistance.
The adjustable, flexible tension on the retracted skin
and soft tissue prevents congestion and formation of
edema to the retracted skin. The nasal prong adjusts
and adapts to the shape of the nose, changing its
position by using the sliding bar fixation screw. The
tension on the retractor is easily adjusted by rubber
bands, which enables flexible, adjustable elastic
tension (not stiff like other retractors). - Padgett
